This ad is in a series of ads that have cans of Diet Coke with slogans. Another one had a can of caffeine-free Diet Coke lying on its side with the slogan 'sleep tight'. I don't think the ad is intended to mean that a Diet Coke is the same as a yoga class but rather, something to enjoy after a class - if you can actually stomach the stuff :) I agree that the ad folks could have done a better job with their slogans....and I can't believe Coke is paying huge sums of money for the ads....but I think this about most advertising I see. Stephanie Sandy Tue, 05 Jun 2007 18:23:18 +0000 http://www.yogakids.com/blog/2007/04/25/animal-vegetable-miracle/#comment-3 Marsha, Thanks for leading me to Animals, Vegetable, Miracle. I have loved every one of Kingsolver's books and I'm sure I will enjoy this one too. One way we can "bring food home" is by supporting our local CSA farms. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This year my family and I have purchased a "share" in Little Truck Farm's business. We will receive a box of food grown by Ben, Heidi and Oliver every week. I know it will be a challenge for us to change the way we eat based on what's in the box, but we've bought a CSA recipe book to help us as well. I'm guessing there's CSA's in many places in the US, and it's one more way to help farmers, raise awareness that food comes from the ground, not the grocery store, and we are what we eat. I'll never forget teaching YogaKids to 3rd graders and when I said "we eat plants", one little girl expressed shock and surprise! Peace, Marsha,
