A twist on a classic game! Choose a category. One person starts out by saying a word on the chosen category that begins with the letter A. For example, a child said “alligator” for the topic of animals. The next child named an animal that starts with B and so on. The twist that Barb added — she built in a “phone a friend” option. At the beginning of the activity, she let her students know that if they get stuck, they may ask for help by “phoning/asking a friend.” What a great way to take the pressure off — and add a little We All Win!
