I happily retired from corporate America as a Senior Systems Analyst/Project Manager (1988-2000) to begin my journey as the mother of 4 amazing children, who are ultimately my life’s work.
During that time to now I have lived my life in such an order : Faith, Family, and Friends. In 2013, keeping to my beliefs and balance of family life I started my search for something more. Call it divine intervention I have been blessed to have found my corporate voice again outside my home but in a completely different meeting place … teaching yoga.
Our children live in a hurry-up world of busy parents, school and peer pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls, and competitive sports. We usually don’t think of these influences as stressful for our kids, but often they are. The bustling pace of our children’s lives can have a profound effect on their joy.
Yoga can help counter these pressures. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, physical & mental well-being they can navigate life’s challenges with a little more ease. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem, confidence, body awareness, concentration & focus.
Guiding children and their families and giving them tools to breathe and cope is how I aspire to leave my mark in this world. I count my blessings each and every time I step into a studio.
