Certified YogaKids Teacher Shanti Augusta

Shanti has a genuine love for humanity, nature and life. Inspired by the healing power of yoga she completed her first Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2002, she has been teaching ever since. Her love for children led her to become a Certified Yogakids Teacher in 2005 in New Buffalo, Michigan, where she had the blessing to complete her Transformations with founder Marsha Wenig. Shanti is also a Certified Thai Yoga and Massage Therapist and she designed a popular local prenatal program, Shanti Prenatal, for expecting parents. Her newest Certification is the Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training at the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona. Here the true value and power of meditation dawned on her. By receiving the right tools, her meditation practice formalized and is now the heart of her personal practice.

Shanti believes that children are the light of the world. To give children tools at a young age for preserving the light, love and peace that they are naturally born with is the key to enlighten humanity. After 12 years of teaching yoga to children, Shanti is still in love with the YogaKids way of teaching. The 14 Elements  meet all the needs of the developing child and they are so much fun with which to work. The Yogakids Teacher Training also helped her deepen the bond with her own two children, now 10 and 18. You can find Shanti and her YogaKids frequently in  the park, on the beach, in the garden making compost and even breeding butterflies. And she loves incorporating parents into the class. She recently made a Peace Mantra Music Youtube video for International Day of Yoga.

Shanti is the Director of Prana Yoga and Meditation Center in Aruba since 2013, where she teaches prenatal yoga, mom and baby yoga , hatha yoga,  mindfulness and meditation classes and workshops.
