About Kathleen

Hi, my name is Kathleen Ratcliffe Abell, and I’m delighted to use yoga as a way to introduce to our children important skills they can draw on throughout their lives!  I’ve taught children in both public and private school both typically developing and those with special needs for 28 years.  I chose the YogaKids program because it is comprehensive, based on Dr. Howard Gardner’s model of multiple intelligence, and because it is playful and FUN!  I love it when parents share feedback that their kiddos are using their breath and calming skills at home.  I tell my students, “You can change the way you feel if you change your breath.”  My practice focuses on children preschool through elementary age.  I have a kid’s yoga studio in my home in addition to teaching in other venues throughout the community.
