About Susan

I come from a family of teachers, and grew up doing dance and gymnastics.  I discovered Yoga in college, but didn’t seriously practice until much later.  When I retired from teaching elementary PE, I took my first yoga training with Living Yoga in Austin Texas, and earned my 200hr RYT.  Following that, I did the 95 hour training with YogaKids International, and became a Master Mentor, and Taste of YogaKids Workshop Presenter.  After moving to Florida, I began teaching at local studios and libraries in the Pinellas County area, where I teach Preschool Story Time Yoga, Family Yoga, and Tweens and Teens yoga.  I also received my 500 hr RYT from Pose by Pose Yoga in Lutz, FL. With my background in dance and gymnastics, my classes are a unique combination of music, stories, games, guided relaxation, and yoga poses.  I especially love seeing young children become more confident with their bodies, as they discover what they can do.  Yoga can be the bridge that brings out that spark of excitement in a child’s heart, and I love being a part of that process.  I am also the author of “Let’s Make a Rainbow, A Yoga Story for Kids.” It is the story of two kids stuck inside on a rainy day who use yoga to make the sun come out.
